Who is Michelle Bachmann?

Bachmann is a 55 year old congresswoman from Minnesota with Norwegian ancestors. She is considered to be the new Sarah Palin, who has lost a lot of her earlier popularity (Palin). The congresswoman is also the Teaparty movement's new favorite. The Teaparty movement is an ultra conservative group, who has become much more influential the last couple of years. She has recently anounced that she is one of the candidates that will compete for the position as the Republican's presidential candidate in the election next year.
She claims to be a Cristian and that God told her to become a politician. Really? Then she probably missed the Ten Commandments, where the eigth is "You shall not lie".

I have read some articles about her lately, like the site PolitiFact.com that won a Pulitzer prize in 2009 for its work, and I do not like what I read! They checked out 23 of her statements, and only one was true, two were half true, four were barely true, nine were false, and seven were straight out lies. What kind of Christian is that? Did God tell her to lie too? I do not think so. She is just another politician who is willing to say and do whatever it takes to become the next president of the United States. Bachmann also have quite radical meanings about many issues. The kind of meanings that would make USA go backwards.

I'm a Norwegian and I know many will say that the American election is none of my business and neither is American politicians. However, you are wrong! The United States is the only super power left and whoever becomes the President of this country will be of importantance to the whole world.
